BETTER IS THE SKIN LESS IS CHANCE OF DIABETES
According to a study displayed at Society for Endocrinology annual conference in Glasgow, skin abnormalities such as Psoriasis and other inflammations could increase the chances of type-2 diabetes. Better skin health can help regulate the blood sugar level properly. The results were very alarming because approximately 2-3% of global population suffers from Psoriasis and till now no cure has been developed for the disease. Mice and human skin models were used to carry out the experiments which showed insulin resistance in psoriasis affected skins. Further examinations could lead to therapies for treatment of skin problems and thus preventing type-2 diabetes.
