ANETUMAB CORIXETAN

Generic Name: ANETUMAB CORIXETAN

ABSTRACT -

Anetumab corixetan is the antibody-chelator component of a mesothelin-targeted thorium-227 radioimmunoconjugate platform. In the radiolabeled product, anetumab, a fully human anti-mesothelin IgG1 antibody, is linked through the corixetan chelator to thorium-227 to deliver targeted alpha radiation to mesothelin-expressing tumor cells.

DOSAGE -

  • Dosage should be determined only by a nuclear-medicine oncology specialist within an approved protocol.
  • No approved routine dosage is established for general clinical use.
  • Radiolabeled dosing is activity-based and trial-specific, with radiation-safety procedures.
  • Patients require monitoring for marrow, renal, hepatic, and radiation-related toxicity.

SIDE EFFECTS–

  • Possible side effects include:
  • Fatigue
  • Nausea
  • Reduced blood counts
  • Injection or infusion reactions

  • Radiopharmaceuticals require careful cumulative radiation assessment.
  • Mesothelin-targeted therapies may have overlapping tumor-target effects.
  • Live vaccines are generally avoided during significant immunosuppression.
  • Patients should inform healthcare providers about all prescription medicines, over-the-counter medicines, herbal products, vaccines, and supplements they are using.

PREAUTIONS–

  • Use only in authorized oncology/nuclear-medicine facilities.
  • Confirm tumor mesothelin expression when required by protocol.
