ACOZIBOROLE
Generic Name: ACOZIBOROLE
ABSTRACT -
Acoziborole (SCYX-7158) is an investigational boron-containing benzoxaborole compound being developed for the treatment of human African trypanosomiasis (HAT), also known as sleeping sickness, caused by Trypanosoma brucei. A major advantage is its potential for a single oral dose treatment, addressing compliance challenges in endemic regions. It is active against both stages of the disease.
DOSAGE -
Acoziborole is under investigation. Clinical trials have evaluated single oral doses of 960 mg for stage 1 and stage 2 HAT. Exact approved dosing for routine clinical use has not been established pending regulatory approval.
