DAPIGLUTIDE
Generic Name: DAPIGLUTIDE
ABSTRACT -
Dapiglutide is a dual GLP-1/glucagon receptor co-agonist peptide investigated for obesity and metabolic dysfunction-associated conditions.
A single conventional 2D small-molecule chemical structure is not applicable for Dapiglutide: this API is a peptide API. The figure above is a corrected modality/structure-class schematic and should not be interpreted as a complete sequence-specific molecular structure.
Structure basis: modality/class schematic (peptide API); no discrete small-molecule SMILES is applicable.
This document is for structured API information only. It is not a prescribing guide. Clinical use, if any, must follow the approved local label, clinical-trial protocol, and specialist medical supervision.
DOSAGE -
- Dosage should follow the approved local label, weight-based regimen, or clinical-trial protocol.
- Administration is typically by injection or infusion under medical supervision.
- Dose, frequency, and monitoring must follow protocol-specific or labeled requirements.
- Do not use outside authorized clinical research or approved settings.
SIDE EEFECTS -
Possible side effects and safety concerns include:
- Injection-site reactions, bruising, or local discomfort may occur.
- Hypersensitivity or mild allergic-type reactions have been reported.
- Laboratory abnormalities, including changes in coagulation or hematologic parameters, may occur.
- Headache, fatigue, or mild gastrointestinal upset have been reported in clinical use.
- Unknown long-term risks may exist because development or post-marketing data is limited.
ALLERGIC REACTIONS -
Hypersensitivity to Dapiglutide or related compounds/products may occur. Symptoms may include:
- Immediate urticaria, itching, flushing, or generalized rash
- Facial, lip, tongue, or throat swelling
- Wheezing, chest tightness, or breathing difficulty
- Dizziness, fainting, severe hypotension, or collapse
- Anaphylaxis, although uncommon, requires emergency medical treatment
Important: Patients who develop an allergic reaction to Dapiglutide should seek immediate medical attention and inform all future healthcare providers of the allergy.
DRUG INTERACTIONS-
Dapiglutide may interact with certain medicines, biologics, vaccines, clinical protocols, or medical conditions. Caution is needed with:
- Anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, or other hemostasis-active products may increase bleeding risk.
- Other protein or biologic therapeutics may alter immune response or clearance.
- Vaccines and immune-modulating agents should be used with caution and specialist guidance.
- Patients should report all medicines, supplements, and vaccines.
Patients should inform healthcare providers about all prescription medicines, over-the-counter medicines, herbal products, vaccines, and supplements they are using.
PREAUTONS–
- Monitor relevant laboratory parameters and clinical response during treatment.
- Use caution in significant hepatic, renal, or cardiovascular impairment.
- Follow protocol-specific or label-directed monitoring requirements.
- Pregnancy and lactation require medical review.
WARNINGS –
- Serious adverse or hypersensitivity reactions may occur depending on drug class.
- Seek urgent care for breathing difficulty, facial swelling, severe fever, hypotension, or confusion.
- Investigational or evolving efficacy and safety data may not be fully established.
- Keep out of reach of children.
