CRIDANIMOD
Generic Name: CRIDANIMOD
ABSTRACT -
Cridanimod (also known as tilorone analog) is a synthetic small molecule that stimulates the endogenous production of interferons alpha, beta, and gamma, thereby exerting broad antiviral and immunomodulatory effects. It is under investigation as an adjunct therapy to enhance the efficacy of progestin treatment in endometrial cancer with low progesterone receptor expression, and has antiviral applications. It is approved in some Eastern European countries.
DOSAGE -
250 mg orally twice weekly; or per local approval protocol.

(These symptoms may indicate an allergic reaction and require medical attention.)
- Drug hypersensitivity rash
- Pruritus
- Urticaria
- Anaphylaxis (rare)
DRUG INTERACTIONS-
- Immunosuppressants may antagonize interferon-inducing effects
- Antiviral agents — potential synergy
- Avoid with myelosuppressive agents
PREAUTONS–
- Monitor liver enzymes during therapy

- Not established in severe hepatic or renal impairment
- Pregnancy safety not established
WARNINGS –
- Autoimmune activation risk from interferon induction
- Hepatotoxicity — monitor LFTs
