Generic Name: DABELOTINE
ABSTRACT -
Dabelotine is an investigational CNS-active small molecule with reported sigma-1 receptor and muscarinic receptor pharmacology. It is being evaluated in neurodegenerative and cognitive disorders. This document is not a prescribing guide.
DOSAGE -
- No routine clinical dosage is established for general use.
- Dose, titration, and cognitive or neurologic assessments must follow clinical-trial protocol.
- Avoid non-protocol use with other CNS-active drugs.
SIDE EEFECTS -
- Dizziness, headache, nausea, fatigue, insomnia, somnolence, or gastrointestinal symptoms may occur.
- Changes in cognition, mood, behavior, or balance should be monitored.
- Laboratory or ECG abnormalities may occur in clinical studies.
ALLERGIC REACTIONS -
- Immediate rash, hives, itching, flushing, or generalized skin reaction
- Facial, lip, tongue, or throat swelling
- Wheezing, chest tightness, shortness of breath, or severe dizziness
- Severe hypotension, collapse, or anaphylaxis requires emergency care
- Any suspected allergy should be documented and reported to future healthcare providers
DRUG INTERACTIONS-
- CNS depressants, anticholinergics, cholinesterase inhibitors, antipsychotics, and sedatives require review.
- CYP-modulating drugs may alter exposure depending on metabolism.
- Patients should report all medicines and supplements.
PREAUTONS–
- Assess neurologic, psychiatric, cardiac, hepatic, renal, pregnancy, and fall-risk status.
- Avoid hazardous activity if dizziness or cognitive impairment occurs.
- Monitor cognition, behavior, sleep, and adverse effects.
WARNINGS –
- Severe confusion, syncope, seizure, psychiatric worsening, or allergic symptoms require urgent evaluation.
- Investigational efficacy and safety are not fully established.
- Keep out of reach of children.
