ASTEGOLIMAB
Generic Name: ASTEGOLIMAB
ABSTRACT -
Astegolimab is a fully human IgG2 monoclonal antibody targeting ST2 (IL1RL1), the receptor component for interleukin-33 signaling. By blocking IL-33/ST2 activity, it is intended to reduce type-2 and epithelial alarmin-driven inflammation. It has been studied in asthma, COPD, and other inflammatory-disease research settings.
DOSAGE -
No approved standard dosage is established. Clinical studies have used subcutaneous or intravenous protocol-defined regimens depending on indication. Dose interval, monitoring, and discontinuation rules must follow the trial design.
SIDE EFFECTS–
