CABIOTRAXENTAN
Generic Name: CABIOTRAXENTAN
ABSTRACT -
Cabiotraxetan is an investigational targeted radioligand therapy (RLT) agent combining a targeting vector (small molecule or peptide) with a therapeutic radioisotope (e.g., Actinium-225 or Lutetium-177) for the treatment of specific solid tumours. The targeting moiety delivers lethal radiation selectively to tumour cells expressing the target receptor, minimising systemic exposure. Phase I studies are defining safety, dosimetry, and preliminary efficacy.
DOSAGE -
Intravenous administration; activity dosed in MBq/GBq per patient based on dosimetry; cycle frequency per clinical protocol.
SIDE EFFECTS-
- Fatigue
- Nausea
- Dry mouth (xerostomia) if salivary gland uptake
- Renal toxicity
- Haematological effects (anaemia, thrombocytopenia)
ALLERGIC REACTIONS -
These symptoms may indicate an allergic reaction and require immediate medical attention.
- Infusion-related reactions
- Skin rash
- Urticaria
- Anaphylaxis (rare)
DRUG INTERACTIONS-
- Nephrotoxic drugs increase risk of radiation-associated renal injury
- Caution with other radiolabelled agents
- Renal protective agents (amino acid infusion) may be co-administered
