Generic Name: ECOGRAMOSTIM
ABSTRACT -
Ecogramostim is a colony-stimulating biologic used or investigated to support myeloid-cell recovery or immune function. As a protein, it has no small-molecule bond-line structure.
DOSAGE -
Dose is product- and indication-specific and is commonly expressed in micrograms/kg or fixed microgram doses by SC/IV route.
SIDE EEFECTS -
- Bone pain or musculoskeletal pain
- Fever, fatigue, or malaise
- Injection-site reaction
- Leukocytosis
- Fluid retention or capillary leak in susceptible patients
ALLERGIC REACTIONS -
These symptoms may indicate an allergic reaction and require medical attention.
- Hypersensitivity to protein product or excipients
- Rash, urticaria, bronchospasm, hypotension, or anaphylaxis
DRUG INTERACTIONS-
- Myelosuppressive chemotherapy timing must be coordinated carefully
- Lithium and other agents affecting leukocytes may alter counts
- Cytokine overlap may increase inflammatory toxicity
PREAUTONS–
- Monitor complete blood counts and signs of fluid retention or respiratory symptoms
- Use caution in myeloid malignancies unless specifically indicated
- Assess splenic pain or left upper quadrant pain
WARNINGS –
- Excessive leukocytosis, splenic complications, capillary leak, or severe allergic reactions can occur
