COFROGLIPTIN
Generic Name: COFROGLIPTIN
ABSTRACT -
Cofrogliptin is a long-acting, once-weekly oral dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor under development for type 2 diabetes mellitus. By inhibiting DPP-4, it prevents the degradation of incretin hormones (GLP-1 and GIP), thereby enhancing glucose-dependent insulin secretion and suppressing glucagon. Its extended half-life enables weekly dosing, potentially improving patient adherence compared to daily DPP-4 inhibitors.
DOSAGE -
Oral tablet, once weekly; dose range evaluated in clinical trials approximately 25–100 mg per week; specific approved dose pending regulatory review.
