ABSTRACT -
Asnuciclib (CDKI-73; LS-007) is an investigational small-molecule inhibitor with potent activity against cyclin-dependent kinase 9 and additional activity against other CDKs. Inhibition of CDK9 reduces phosphorylation of RNA polymerase II and suppresses transcription of short-lived survival proteins, providing a rationale for study in acute leukaemia and other cancers.

SIDE EFFECTS –

- Neutropenia, anaemia, or thrombocytopenia may occur with anticancer CDK inhibition
- Nausea, diarrhoea, or reduced appetite

- Infection risk associated with cytopenias

DRUG INTERACTIONS -
