COPRELOTAMAB
Generic Name: COPRELOTAMAB
ABSTRACT -
Coprelotamab is a bispecific T-cell engaging antibody targeting CD37 on malignant B cells and CD3 on T cells, redirecting cytotoxic T cells to eliminate lymphoma cells. It is under clinical investigation for relapsed/refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The mechanism involves immunological synapse formation leading to T-cell-mediated tumor lysis.
DOSAGE -
Administered intravenously per clinical trial protocol; step-up dosing schedule to mitigate cytokine release syndrome.
SIDE EEFECTS -
- Cytokine release syndrome (CRS)
- Fatigue
- Pyrexia
- Nausea
- Neutropenia
ALLERGIC REACTIONS -
(These symptoms may indicate an allergic reaction and require medical attention.)
- Infusion-related reactions
- Urticaria or rash
- Anaphylaxis (rare)
- Hypotension
DRUG INTERACTIONS-
- Corticosteroids used to manage CRS
- Avoid live vaccines during therapy
- Immunosuppressants may alter efficacy
PREAUTONS–
- Monitor for CRS and neurological toxicity (ICANS)
- Hospitalization may be required during step-up dosing
- Use with caution in active infections
- Monitor CBC regularly
WARNINGS –
- Cytokine release syndrome — can be severe or life-threatening
