HYPHEMA GLAUCOMA

Hyphema is a condition which is caused by the accumulation and detection of red blood cells microscopically in the anterior chamber. This layer of Red Blood Cells may even be detected without using a slit lamp magnification. Hyphema Glaucoma is often found in young patients. It is a disease which is mostly caused by trauma and could be because of benign or malignant intraocular tumors. Patients who have a smaller sized hyphema have a larger chance of recovering while those who undergo rebleeding have a smaller chance because of a larger hyphema. Bloodstaining in the eyes is a sign of immediate surgical treatment and evacuation of Hyphema Glaucoma.
