BILE DUCT CANCER
It is a very rare but aggressive type of cancer. Its symptoms generally includes jaundice, intense itching in skin and change in colour of faecal matter. Although the exact cause is not known yet but studies show that any inflammation in bile duct or parasite infestation could be a cause of it. Few of the treatments are surgery, radiation therapy, immunotherapy and palliative therapy. Targeted therapy drugs could be used in initial stages. The cancer being very rare affects people of older age {70-72 years}. It is seen in about 2 to 6 cases in 1 lakh population.
