Nervous System Diseases Animals Part 1
We already have a fair idea about the different afflictions and conditions that can cause the brain to malfunction. However, there are other species that suffer through nervous system disease of the brain too. Some these system diseases are : Cerebrovascular Accident – It is caused by a defect in the brain vessels and by increased blood pressure due to excitement or work. Concussion – It is caused due to a severe blow or mechanical violence to the cranium such as kicks, collisions, blows and falls; the brain is damaged and hemorrhage may occur. Epilepsy – It is caused due to increased excitability in the cortex of the brain. The animal suffers from fits in this condition.
