FORENSIC ANTHROPOLOGY

Forensic Anthropology is a specialized discipline of anthropology which applies techniques of osteology and archaeology to analyze the remains of human body. This discipline helps to detect the circumstances in which the body died and the condition in which it is found. Anthropology deals with historic evidences and cultures. Forensic science is inculcated into anthropology and both of these are combined to understand the types of bones found, the nature of trauma inflicted on the cartilaginous and osseous remains, determination of biological profile and the order in which the traumatic events occurred.
