RARE SURGERY HELPS A WOMEN WALK AGAIN
Mahatma Gandhi Mission, MGM doctors had performed a surgery that had helped a 29 year old lady from bony ankylosis of her left side hip when she fell from a height in her home in Yemen. Girish Gadekar, Amal Mohammed’s join replacement surgeon also found that her left knee has also been deformed with her growing age. Amal was then later on treated by surgery in two stages, where the first stage evolved around correcting her hip bone and then the second stage where she was corrected for her knee that she had not used for the past 18 years by Gadekar, with his assistant surgeon Gajanan Kathar, and other anesthetists.
