ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION
ABSTRACT -
Erectile dysfunction also known as impotence which is a type of dysfunction that makes it difficult for a male to develop or maintain an erection of penis during sexual activity. It affects self-confidence, relationship status and leads to stress. Not maintaining an erection is a sign of weak health condition that requires immediate treatment as it is risky for heart as well.
CAUSES -
Physical Causes –- Damage to Heart
- Internal blood clotting
- High sugar levels
- Obesity
- Cancer
- High blood pressure and cholesterol
- Insomnia
- Preexisting diseases like Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Diabetes etc

RISK FACTORS –
- Heart disorders or diabetes

PREVENTIONS
- Maintenance of insulin levels
- Manage psychological conditions like reduce stress and anxiety
- Avoid smoking
- Exercise regularly
- Limit or stop drinking
EPIDEMIOLOGY -
- Approximately 5-20% of men have moderate to severe ED globally.
- Erectile dysfunction Disorder is common in the elderly men over 60 years of age and about 70% of men usually don’t go for treatment.
