SORE THROAT
ABSTRACT -
Sore throat is a condition which causes pain and irritation in the throat. It is also known as Pharyngitis in medical terms. The pain usually worsens when a person tries to swallow anything. It’s a very common condition which can get cured with some effective home remedies but it is recommended to seek a medical consultation and treatment if it gets severe.
CAUSES -
- Viral infections like cold, flu, measles or whooping cough

- Try to stay away and avoid close interaction with infected patient
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the house and surroundings
- Quit smoking
- Use hand sanitizers
EPIDEMIOLOGY –
- Estimation shows that the prevalence rate for sore throat is 100 per 1000 people annually.
- 54% of the patients get cured with the use of antibiotics.
