SURGERY SAVES A BOY LIFE
The unnamed boy from the Anand district was given a surgery in the Civil Hospital for removing his extra parasitic twin leg and also underdeveloped genitalia on his back. Dr. Jaimin Shah along with his neurosurgical team proceeded with the operation successfully on 20 day old boy which had saved his life from future incontinences and neurological problems. The condition was stated to be parasitic conjoined twins joined at spinal cord and the surgery took about 5 hours to get completed without any damage to the nervous system. He stated that deficiency of nutrients in the mother during pregnancy might had led to the development of such twins.
