DRUNKEN DOCTOR DID CAESARIAN
In Botad Government Hospital, a senior doctor performed a Caesarian operation under an inebriated condition. According to the details of this case, a 22 year old woman, Kamini Chachi from Alampur village of Gadhda Taluka was brought to Sonavala hospital after she had a labor pain. Dr. Lakhani advised to go for caesarian operation. The newborn girl baby was declared dead on birth and Kamini was bleeding continuously. The family members thought to shift her to a private clinic but Kamini died on the way to the hospital. The family members returned to Dr. Lakhani and found that he was drunk and did the operation under drunken condition. Preliminary police investigation and breath analyzer test confirmed that the doctor was drunk. Dr. Lakhani, who worked in the hospital for the past 15 years, was hence arrested.
