A New and Effective Knee Replacement Surgery
A new knee replacement procedure formed at Apollo Specialty hospitals, Madurai, takes less time, less equipment, precise alignment and is cost effective. This method called Novo, takes only 30 - 40 minutes, lesser incision, less pain, less blood loss, low infection and reduces patient’s hospital stay to 3-5 days. Post operational physiotherapy is needed for maximum 15 days only. The surgery costs 1.70 lakhs as of now. The first patient to avail the Novo method, Ganeshan from Virudhunagar, stated he was discharged 4 days after surgery, was able to walk after 3 days and recovered quickly without much pain.
