Gallium (68Ga) Rofapitide Tetraxetan
Generic Name: gallium (68Ga) rofapitide tetraxetan
Gallium-68 radiopharmaceutical peptide/chelator imaging agent; radioactive metal-ligand complex
ABSTRACT
gallium (68Ga) rofapitide tetraxetan is a gallium-68 labeled radiopharmaceutical imaging agent. The chelator-peptide/ligand component carries 68Ga to a biological target for positron emission tomography imaging.
DOSAGE
Administer intravenously as a radiotracer by trained nuclear medicine personnel. Activity, uptake time, and acquisition protocol must follow the product/trial protocol.
SIDE EFFECTS
- Injection-site discomfort
- Transient nausea, flushing, headache, or dizziness
- Low-level ionizing radiation exposure
- Rare hypersensitivity reaction
ALLERGIC REACTIONS
These symptoms may indicate an allergic or hypersensitivity reaction and require medical attention.
- Urticaria, generalized rash, or pruritus
- Angioedema of lips, tongue, throat, or face
- Bronchospasm, dyspnea, wheezing, or chest tightness
- Anaphylaxis or severe infusion/injection reaction
DRUG INTERACTIONS
- Target-binding agents may affect imaging interpretation
- Hydration and voiding instructions can reduce radiation dose
- Recent diagnostic or therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals may interfere with scheduling
- Review concomitant therapy that may alter target expression
PRECAUTIONS
- Confirm patient identity, pregnancy status, and radiotracer activity
- Use radiation-safety handling and disposal procedures
- Ensure appropriate uptake time and scanner calibration
- Interpret images with clinical and laboratory context
WARNINGS
- Radiation exposure carries a small stochastic risk
- Administration errors can cause inaccurate imaging
- Hypersensitivity reactions are possible
