HEART-HEALTHY INDIA WITH ZYDUS CADILLA NEW DRUG
Zydus Cadila, an Ahmadabad based drug making company has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to market its cholesterol-lowering drug Atorvastatin Calcium tablets. The medicine comes in strengths of 10m, 20mg, 40mg and 80mg, company stated. This drug will be manufactured in their formulation facility at Moraiya, Ahmedabad. Atorvastatin belong to the drug group statins known to reduce bad blood cholesterol {LDL} and fats apart from raising good cholesterol {HDL}. This drug works best when taken with proper balanced diet. Company also discussed about tentative approval of another drug for multiple sclerosis.
